MIREA – Russian Technological University is a leading Russian state University, the largest educational, scientific, innovation and production cluster in the field of training for high-tech industries, the center for the integration of researches in priority areas of science, engineering and technology.
Today MIREA – Russian Technological University is one of the major Russian technological universities: it unites 25 000 students, 2 000 teachers and employees and annually enrolls about 8 000 applicants.
The University provides training in the most popular educational programs in the fields of Information Technologies, Nanotechnologies, Electronics, Radio Engineering, Robotics, Chemistry and etc. After graduation, MIREA – Russian Technological University graduates have the opportunity to get Official Academic Transcript which complies to the European standard.
For 70 years the University has been training professionals in the field of Radio Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunications; it is one of the leaders among Russian universities teaching Robotics. Training in the field of chemistry has been conducted since 1900.
In 2017, MIREA – Russian Technological University became the only University that was awarded with the UNESCO medal «For contribution to the Development of Nanoscience and Nanotechnologies», including training of students in this field.
The University develops research schools, creates innovative structures, implements projects and findings that are of great interest in our country and abroad. Researchers perform R & D projects in 16 areas of science, technology and engineering. Over 25 % of the students are actively involved in executing R & D projects, design work, creation of small-size innovative businesses.

MIREA – Russian Technological University has established specialized world-class educational and research laboratories, educational centers, student design bureaus and academies of the world’s leading IT companies: Cisco, Microsoft, EMC, VMware, Huawei, 1C-Bitrix and others. The University is a member of a number of international associations and unions, that’s why most academic mobility programs for students are free of charge. There are more than 60 foreign universities among the partners of the University from more than 40 countries: France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, Sweden, China, Japan, Brazil and others. A number of training programs are certified according to international standards.
The University offers more than 100 programs of further education, the number of students is amounted to up to 10 000 people annually. Training programs are developed both for students and already working professionals. Postgraduate training program includes MBA degree. Within the University there is a driver and biker training center, TV Academy, which train in a number of professions in the field of television industry.
